Proving that you don’t need to go six figures deep to have supercar performance on or off the track

Chevy shocked the world when the eighth-generation (C8) Corvette switched to a mid-engine layout. It naturally came with some criticism, but for the most part it was well received. Fast forward a couple of years, and Chevy stayed true to tradition by releasing an all-new C8 Corvette Z06, but how much does the new Z06 really stick to tradition? Well, it doesn’t feature forced induction, but it is supercar fast and it comes as a strong proposition to cars like the Ferrari F8 that cost more than double, and it kind of sticks it to Ford and its overpriced, heritage-proud GT. Here’s everything you need to know about the brand new 2023 Chevy C8 Corvette Z06.

Old-School Pure Stock Drag Race: ’69 Vette L88 Unleashes Its Fury Against The ’68 Super Bee

While the numbers seem to be stacked in the Vette’s favor, the real-world results are not what you’d expect

Pure Stock drag races are fun. As the name suggests you have some pretty tight rules in order to qualify for this class. But I’m sure that it’s the most honest way to find out about the out-of-the-box performance of these old-school muscle cars. This duel between a 69 Vette and the 68 Coronet Super Bee sure does seem to fit the bill rather well. Let’s look at the baseline figures of both these cars.

Callaway Celebrates Its 35th Anniversary With A Special Appearance Package For The Chevy C8 Corvette

Callaway Celebrates Its 35th Anniversary With A Special Appearance Package For The Chevy C8 Corvette

This is just an appearance package with no power upgrades, but you get a lot of carbon fiber treatment

Callaway started by offering aftermarket turbocharger systems for BMW, Volkswagen, Porsche, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz cars. Its first product was launched in 1977 and was a C1 VW turbo kit. It continued with building a racing engine for IndyCar specification and after that, a turbocharged kit for Alfa Romeo’s 2.5-liter GTV-6 coupé.

It was this last project that caught the attention of Dave McLellan - Chief Engineer of the Corvette - and it was in 1987 when Callaway offered its first twin-turbo Corvette under the Regular Production Option (RPO) B2K program. Now, 35 years later, Callaway celebrates the program’s anniversary with the launch of a special appearance package for the 2022 Corvette Z51.

Watch This 10-second Trackhawk Blow Muscle Cars To Dust

A Camaro ZL1 and Challenger Hellcat made the mistake of taking this family hauler for granted

More SUVs are now hitting the track than ever before, and I’m not surprised. They are, after all, the most popular body style, currently on the market. But, these aren’t just any SUVs, they’re the high-performance kind.

In a recent video by the Drag Racing and Car Stuff Channel, you can watch a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, take on some pretty serious muscle cars. Now, as before, I don’t have the exact numbers folks, so I’m gonna run with the baseline figures here.

An Interesting Take On What The Next-Generation C9 Chevrolet Corvette Would Look Like

Someone used a Ferrari F50 and a Chinese EV to predict how the C9 Corvette would look. The results are interesting

The Chevrolet Corvette C8 finally fulfilled the vision of a mid-engine Corvette. With the C8 Z06 on the way, it’s only natural to wonder what a C9 Corvette would look like. The C8 is often compared to a Ferrari 458 because of its mid-engine layout and overall aesthetics, but a digital artist that goes by the Instagram alias, ugur_sahin_design has taken that to another level. His design has been featured in a YouTube video by REC Anything and reveals an interesting, yet not very American take on a C9 Corvette.

A new Thunderbird might give the C8 Corvette trouble, but it needs to have a few aces up its sleeve in order to stand a chance.

The Ford vs Chevy rivalry is one of the oldest and biggest in automotive history. The two American carmakers have been going at it, across the lineup for decades. We have the Mustang vs Camaro, F-Series vs Silverado, and Bronco vs Trailblazer, but before all of those there was the Thunderbird vs C1 Corvette. And guess what, the Thunderbird wiped the floor with the Corvette, in the 1950s, outselling it 23 to 1.

The creation you see here comes courtesy of Yasid Design, and goes by the name Porsche Concept Zero Two. There are a total of three renderings, and while it does have a cool, cyberpunk-ish feel too it, is it too much to blend a Porsche 911 and C3 Corvette into one oddly strange package?
