Watch The Genesis GV70 Put Up A Good Fight Before Being Incarcerated By The Tesla Model Y
The GV70 is Genesis’ first compact-luxury SUV, and it is a fantastic package overall. It is based on the G70 sedan, which means it has a sporty cred to it. And, Genesis being a luxury brand, you get all the bells and whistles as well. There are two engine options on offer, one being a four-pot turbo engine, and the other, a twin-turbo V-6.
Sam from Sam ‘CarLegion’ brought in a V-6 GV70 to take on a Tesla Model Y for a couple of drag races and a rolling race. The Model Y, being an EV, was going to be the winner for sure, but did the GV70 put up a good fight before going down? Let’s find out.
Hot Wheels Reveals A Very Cool "Spoilers" Mustang Boss Hoss
’Hot Wheels’ is well known for offering some of the coolest diecast models out there. It is, of course, a way for people to get closer to their dream car models, without - you know, breaking the bank. Now, the company is taking a trip back to 1970 when it offered an explosive new line of cars called “Spoilers” that featured oversized blown engines. As a tribute to those diecast cars, Hot Wheels Red Line Club is bringing back the "Spoilers" Mustang Boss Hoss. Offered as a 1:64 scale, the new model will be priced at $25 and will be offered exclusively to RLC members.
Bob Maddox’s Jet Engined Go-Kart Is All Kinds Of Crazy
This is Bob Maddox aka Rocketman, who recently took his jet-engined go-kart dubbed the ’Beast’ for a test drive out in the desert.
Growing up in the 60s Bob was fascinated with rockets. I mean, it was the jet age after all and the space race was on at the time. He also grew fond of jets fighters that flew close to his homes in Phoenix and Oregon. This rocket-bug bit the man early in life, and by age 10, Bob was building rocket-powered balsa wood airplanes that had Jetex rocket motors. By age 17, he began to focus his attention on building pulse-jet engines. The man is now known for creating some of the most outrageous jet-powered machines in the world.
Gobi Finish Is The Perfect Paint For The Gladiator And Wrangler
Gobi - named after the desert in Asia - joined Gladiator’s exterior color palette for the first time in 2020, and it has now returned for the 2022 model year. Also, the same finish is being offered for the 2022 Wrangler for the first time.
Priced at $495, the new Gobi finish joins other exclusive colors like Tuscadero, Gecko, or Nacho.
Ford Mustang California Special Lands In Europe
If you can’t come to California, we will bring California to you! That seems to be Ford’s thinking with its decision of bringing the Mustang California Special to Europe for the first time.
The European Mustang California Special will be offered exclusively in convertible body style with a folding soft-top - a tribute to the 1968 original. On the British market, the new special edition will be priced from £52,105.
Acura’s Focus Falls a Little Outside the Norm, and That’s Okay
What in the world is Acura doing? Every automaker under the sun is pushing out SUVs like it’s all they know how to do, and here’s Acura with its current lineup that includes two sedans, two crossovers, and a supercar known as the NSX. Another SUV is on the cards, right? Wrong – Acura just revealed the all-new Integra, and it’s planning to focus on that for a while. Even better yet, the rest of the world is focused on shifting to EVs and Acura has little concern. There’s a new one coming in 2024, but we don’t know anything about it, and at this point, it seems Acura might not either. Acura’s strategy here is a little weird, and the future is certainly going to be interesting, and Acura’s plan for the Integra is, well, unexpected.
A Stock Drag Race Between Two Unlikely Muscle Cars Ends With David Beating Goliath
Classic car drag races never get old as we are always curious to see how different versions of 1960s and 1970s muscle cars perform on the drag strip 50 years after their production. This Cars and Zebras drag race is between two unlikely cars. We say that because both the 1967 Dodge Coronet and 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS are relatively base versions so, naturally, we were curious how they would perform over a quarter-mile.
An Old-School Chevelle Wipes The Floor With A Jeep SRT For Supremacy
Old-school vs Modern muscle car face-offs are not that uncommon and people really dig them. But, when was the last time you saw a 60s brute take on a proper performance SUV. Well, this duel between a classic Chevelle and a modern-day performance family hauler is sure worth your time.
As ever, this video by the Wheels Channel on YouTube didn’t have the exact numbers so I’m going to run with the baseline specs to give you some context.
The Upcoming Mercedes EQE SUV’s Candid Spy Shots Reveal The Production Body
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE was launched at the 2021 IAA Mobility Show, and then, a few months later, we caught the first prototype of the EQE SUV out testing in the snow. We also found that there will be an AMG version for the next electric SUV.
But now, thanks to our spy photographers, we also get a clear look at the next EQE SUV. During a visit at a test facility outside of Mercedes hometown, Stuttgart, they stumbled into the electric EQE SUV being loaded into a truck.
Here’s A Look At The Hybrid BMW M5 That Could Make Close To 750 Horses!
BMW has been offering the current generation M5 since 2017, so a new generation was expected to come out soon. First, rumors about the next M5 started to surface in 2020 when we learned for the first time that the sports sedan could be hybrid. Then, back in January 2022, we had the first spy shots that confirmed those rumors: the next M5 will indeed be a hybrid car!
Now, BMW continues to test the next M5, and our spy photographers were able to catch a prototype playing in the snow around Sweden.
Alpina and BMW Are Officially A Couple – Here’s What It Means
BMW M models are great – they provide awesome performance, outrageous handling, and hard-to-rival on-track performance. But, if you want something that’s over the top and tuned more toward luxury and comfortable driving, that’s where Alpina comes in, at an added cost, of course. Alpina has made a name for itself by catering to people who want an ultimate driving machine but spend 99-percent of the time on well unmaintained public roads and not on the track. Alpina’s special tuning turns any BMW into a magic carpet that floats seamlessly down the road, generally looks better on the outside, and has a few extra luxury bits on the inside. Up until this point, Alpina has worked closely with BMW and even had the ability to access vehicles before they were released to the public but worked independently. All of this, however, will change in the near future as BMW just acquired Alpina, something that secures the latter’s long-term future but calls into question what it all means for the Alpina brand.

Audi RS3 vs BMW M3 Competition – This Drag Race Had No Business Being So Interesting
Mat Watson and his team from ‘Carwow’ brought in two hot German cars for a drag race. One’s the Audi RS3, and the other a BMW M3 Competition. The Audi RS3, in its reinvigorated avatar, is an absolute beast and punches well above its weight. It makes a lot less power than the BMW M3 Competition, but managed to keep up well in these races, especially the drag races. Can the Audi RS3 be considered as the hottest entry-level performance car today?
Old-School Pure Stock Drag Race: ’69 Vette L88 Unleashes Its Fury Against The ’68 Super Bee
Pure Stock drag races are fun. As the name suggests you have some pretty tight rules in order to qualify for this class. But I’m sure that it’s the most honest way to find out about the out-of-the-box performance of these old-school muscle cars. This duel between a 69 Vette and the 68 Coronet Super Bee sure does seem to fit the bill rather well. Let’s look at the baseline figures of both these cars.
The 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor Configurator Has Gone Live And This Is How We Configured It!
Ford’s Bronco Raptor caused a lot of buzz when it finally broke cover last month. The online configurator is now live on Ford’s website, and I decided to give it a go. I was just curious to see how much would a fully spec’d out Bronco Raptor cost and how it’d compare to its chief competitor, the HEMI-powered Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392.
This Custom 1956 Chevrolet 3100 Stepside Will Not See Any Haystacks In Its Bed
Custom cars are awesome, but what’s even crazier is custom pick-up trucks, especially when they are from the 1950s. A perfect example of that is this 1956 Chevrolet 3100 Sidestep, built by “Customs by Lopez”. While the Chevy 3100 was part of the Chevy Task Force, also known as the “Blue Chip Series” in GMC dealerships, it started out as a humble, but rugged work truck. However, it has been transformed into a mean, rubber-burning machine.
Peugeot Wants To Take On The Renault Arkana With The New 308 SUV Coupe
We’ve heard the first rumors about a possible Peugeot SUV Coupe in early 2022. The model is, of course, in its very first stages of development, and for now, there are a lot of rumors about a possible name for it. Monikers like 308 SUV, 3008 Coupe, or 408 are just a few of them. However, no matter what it will be christened, the new SUV Coupe will take on models like the Renault Arkana.
Jeep’s New Inline-Six Comes to Fill the Void Left By AMC’s Infamous Flat-Six
With cars like the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe and the launch of new hybrid Keeps in Europe, it’s easy to think that Jeep and its parent company Stellantis could be steering deep into electrification. This is especially true when you consider Jeep’s first electric vehicle that’s expected to arrive early next year. All of this is certainly accurate, but Jeep and parent company Stellantis is still sinking money into research and development of new combustion engines. The latest of which is, apparently, a brand-new inline-six that will be showcased first by Jeep before it trickles over to other sister brands.
This Infiniti Q60S Showed The Ford Mustang HPP That It Shouldn’t Be Taken Lightly
Sam conducted another drag race, this time involving the Ford Mustang and the Infiniti Q60S, and uploaded the video on his YouTube channel, ‘Sam CarLegion’. This is an interesting mix because it involved a V-6 taking on a four-pot mill that churns out more power. However, the V-6-powered car comes with an all-wheel-drive system, unlike its rival that drives only the rear wheels. To make it even more interesting, they both weigh pretty much the same. Which car do you have your bets on?
The New 2023 Lamborghini Aventador Looks Fantastically Hybrid
The 2023 Lamborghini Aventador has been spotted on the road for the first time, and while it’s been photographed at quite a distance, there’s still a lot we can make out from this unique Aventador prototype. This specific Aventador prototype was spotted wearing the traditional black and white camo, but the most notable thing outside of the design changes are the yellow stickers posted on nearly every body panel. These stickers serve as a warning to emergency response teams that this is a hybrid electric vehicle in the event of a tragedy but also serve as a warning to us that this is an Aventador hybrid.
The Lamborghini Huracan EVO Smiles With Tears In Its Eyes As It Helplessly Watches The Model X Plaid Destroy It
Ever since the Tesla Model S Plaid came out, it has been on a spree, embarrassing every other car it faces in straight-line races. Tesla came out with the performance Plaid version of its SUV, the Model X as well, sometime back. While it might not be as quick as its sedan sibling, it is still mighty quick to take on some of the hottest supercars from the present era. Its latest rival – or shall we say, a victim – is the Lamborghini Huracan EVO, and the Model X Plaid shows no mercy whatsoever.
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz Debuts In Two Avatars; Offers More Cargo Space Than The Massive Chevy Tahoe!
News about the Volkswagen ID. Buzz has been ‘buzzing’ ever since it was announced back in 2017. More than five years later, the automaker has finally launched it. It isn’t exactly a best-kept secret as the company kept releasing teasers over the years to make sure we didn’t forget about it. We’ve even spotted it in the wild, if the official teasers weren’t enough. Fast forward to the present day, the ID. Buzz is finally here.
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is an electric people and cargo mover. Volkswagen is trying to create a niche of sorts, it seems, to come up with a vehicle that offers absolute utility. It will be available as a cargo carrier, as well as a passenger mover. It will be available to pre-order from May and will enter production around the same time.
